The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house that has a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house money does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
